The International Missionary Training Network serves to strengthen and serve missionary training programmes around the world through:

• Networking missionary trainers
• Sharing missionary training resources

At the WEA Mission Commission meetings in November 2011 the IMTN was relaunched and has set itself 4 Strategic Tasks

1. Sharing resources
   To enable members of the IMTN to share training resources, course information and human resources/advice.
2. Discussion forum
   To enable Christian educators to exchange ideas and engage in dialogue on subjects related to teaching and learning with special focus on missionary training.
3. Revitalise the IMTN website
   To enable members to easily access resources and join the discussion forum and to express the new launch of the IMTN.
4. Expand the network
   To grow the membership of IMTN.
